Formed in 1968, The Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission (GCRPC) is a voluntary association of local governments and special districts within the seven-county Golden Crescent region encompassing Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, and Victoria counties.

The Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for the FY 26 SHSP and Criminal Justice Program grants through the Office of the Governor’s Public Safety Section.

Important Dates: 
Application Submission Opened: December 16, 2024 
Application Workshop for Criminal Justice projects: January 7, 2025, at 1:30 PM 
Mandatory Application Workshop for SHSP projects: January 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM
Application Deadline: February 13, 2025, by 5:00 PM 
Application Meeting for Scoring and Ranking: TBD

Victoria Transit and GC Transit will not operate public transportation services on Monday, April 7, 2025, due to mandatory staff training. This closure applies ONLY to services within Victoria and DeWitt County.

Victoria Transit Program - Service Reduction Notice (Posted 01/30/2025)
​Notice is hereby given that the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission (GCRPC) is intending to enact a reduction of services on March 3rd, 2025, due to fiscal constraints. The reduction in service will include the following:
  • Paratransit will no longer run on Saturday
  • Paratransit operating hours will be 8AM – 5PM
 
Please note that fixed routes will remain unchanged.
We will keep you informed of any changes. Should you wish to submit feedback, questions, comments, or concerns please direct them to [email protected].

GCRPC’s Method of Distribution for $80,317,000 in CDBG Regional Mitigation Program Fund

GLO Approval Granted
GCRPC has completed its role in the Mitigation Method of Distribution. The Texas General Land Office will reach out to eligible entities soon regarding next steps.

GCRPC’s Reallocation of $1,267,062 in CDBG-DR Funds for Local Infrastructure Projects – Method of Distribution Amendment
Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission is seeking input on the Method of Distribution for $1,267,062 in Disaster Recovery Funds for Local Infrastructure Projects.  The public planning period began at 8:00 AM on December 8, 2022, and ended at 5:00 PM on January 9, 2023.
