FY2018 EDA-Disaster Supplemental Appropriation

In response to the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey, the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA), Austin Regional Office, made FY 2018 Disaster Supplemental funding available to units of local government and accepted proposals for long-term economic recovery projects. GCRPC, Economic Development, Recovery, & Resilience staff provided technical assistance to eligible applicants in the development of proposals and applications.

Long Term Recovery Projects

Project applications submitted for FY2018 EDA-Disaster Supplemental Appropriation with a proposed impact on the Golden Crescent Region included:
  • City of Port Lavaca - Harbor of Refuge Bulkhead Repair Project
  • City of Seadrift - Channel and Municipal Harbor Improvement Project
  • Mid-Coast Construction Academy Vocational Training Facility Project
  • Victoria College – Industrial Workforce Training Program Expansion Project
  • LiftFund – Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) for disaster impacted areas

Project Awards 2018-2019:
